Treasure Quest Clue #2.1
People stroll by & gaze in store windows
Seeking the ultimate find.
When they tire of shopping & non-stop "gawking",
They look for a place to unwind.
"Oh look", someone says, "an oasis I see"
In the midst of this town full of people.
Trees provide shade, trickling water cascades
And benches provide rest for the feeble.

This week's Treasure was found within a couple of hours!
Watch for next week's clue which will be posted late Friday night or early Saturday morning....solve the clue and look for a Treasure bag like this one.
1. Call for Kindness Stories
Any time during the month, share your kindness stories – kindness you received or kindness you observed – with everyone on your Facebook or Instagram account and tag us. It can be a story from earlier during the Covid lockdowns or something that just happened.
We are going to use a new Facebook page dedicated to this year long theme @tcrcommunitykindness and an Instagram hashtag #tcrcommunitykindness. Please tag @tcrcommunitykindness and #tcrcommunitykindness when you post your story on your account.
And please be respectful of everyone’s privacy and do not identify or tag anyone else in your story unless you have their prior consent. It would be wonderful to acknowledge and thank people, but we must be respectful if they wish to remain private – your story can still be told in an anonymous way. It is the stories that help us to understand just how powerful small ordinary acts of kindness can be for someone.
2. Weekly Kindness Treasure Quest
On each of the first four Friday evenings in July, we will post a new clue on our social media pages and our website. This clue will help you in your quest for that week’s “Kindness Treasure” hidden somewhere in town. There will be four treasures hidden, one each week, for one lucky person to find. When you find it, take a selfie with your treasure find and post it on your social media account tagging us as noted above. You can enjoy the treasure yourself or ‘pay it forward’ to someone else you believe will treasure it.
3. Speaker Event – July 22nd, 7pm-8pm
You are all invited to join us for our first Kindness Zoom Meeting with our special guest speaker: Jackie Ralph from the Canadian Mental Health Association – Grey Bruce Branch Mental Health and Addiction Services. More information on this will be forthcoming. Registration is free.
How to register: Go to https://www.tcrotary.ca/contact.cfm and follow the steps in the "Register for Speaker Event" box. We will send you a link to the Zoom meeting the day prior to the event. There is also a green “Donate Now” button to the left of the registration box – donations from those who can are gratefully appreciated - donations are key to helping us deliver on our local and international service commitments, especially in times when big in-person fundraising events are not possible.
JOIN US IN THE FUN!!!!
