New Member Welcome
New Member Chuck Adamson and Friend of Rotary Linda Bennett were welcomed to our Club by Ellen Kalis.
Chuck was born in London, Ontario. He grew up in Ottawa where he graduated from Medical School in 1977.
He practiced rural family medicine and raised a family in Dundas County, 50 km south of Ottawa. After 36 years hemoved to Ottawa where he taught Family Medicine with the Bruyere Academic Family Health Team in Ottawa for 7 years, retiring in 2022.
He attended the Chesterville Rotary Club from 1980 to 1987 and was president for a year. He was made a Paul Harris Fellow for community service in the mid-1990s.
Linda was born in Ville St Pierre and raised in Lachine, Quebec. She attended McGill and Macdonald College to obtain her degree in teaching.
Linda taught primary school in Ontario from 1976 until retirement, taking a number of years off to raise her three children. She moved to Thornbury from Vankleek Hill, her home of 40 years, in September 2024 to be nearer her daughters in Thornbury and Collingwood.
